Inactive - The license has been issued but is not currently valid for use. The licensee may not perform licensed/regulated activities (such as smog check inspections or related repairs, or vehicle safety system inspections) until all outstanding requirements for licensure have been satisfied and the license is returned to valid status.

Probation - The license is on probation either as part of a disciplinary order or because it was issued on probationary terms due to prior history or conditions. The licensee must comply with all terms and conditions of probation for the duration of the probationary period. Failure to comply may result in revocation or additional disciplinary action.
